Saren Dobkins has been painting and drawing since 1986.
Originally from Zambia, C.Africa she currently resides in Australia. her work is bold, passionate and based on personal experiences that are translated to express a state of mind, a feeling and a moment in time.
her work uses figures, sometimes quite abstracted, and sculptural in their weight within the canvas frame. With clear lines, strong uses of concentrated colour and strong shapes, her work can be seen as a continued reference to her heritage and need to communicate directly and cohesively with the viewer.
