Spirits of Nature

We are spirits of nature running wild, running free;
Only the chosen few will see us travelling at speed from beth to nion, from fearn to huath to duir and so on…
Accerlerating through the lady of the woods, by the whispering tree and the tree of sacrifice.
We explore our inner worlds, our tree top inspirations, inhabit forests and bodies of water as we pass.
We respect our moon, our trees of enchantment, our ancient learning from afar – do you?
Look closely, see the clues we leave behind on wood or stone,
We make our mark, we are minor nature goddesses, beautiful maidens.
We speak to shamanistic birds, would you seek the tree of knowledge?
We are a secret mystical association, we are grounded energy.
Please respect and do not mistake our kindness as a weakness.
We link to our tribal ancestors and to the spirit realms, some speak Ogham.
We help you seek angels, guides and guardians, providing you are worthy of it.
The most precious gift from the moon goddess is rain, please remember this.
We provide apples for detoxification, for cleansing mind and body,
Be aware of our healing qualities and toxic qualities.
We live in the tree of sacrifice, we are wood nymphs.
Remember, we choose you, you can’t choose us.

    This poem speaks to me on so many levels. This line I especially empathize with… “do not mistake our kindness as a weakness.” I understand both sides of that coin on a personal level… kindness IS a weakness in that it is a way in for those who truly live as predators, but it is also the strength that renews us after such an encounter. I have never looked at a kind person and thought they were weak, because I know how hard it is to live life with a piece of your self always open to others, always ready to be kind and reach out to others. I have never really understood those who have looked at my own kindness and thought me weak, or easily rolled over…. but they soon learn their mistake and move on! :) You have perfectly capture this aspect of Nature, the inborn rhythms and mindset of the spirits of Nature. Enchanting wordcrafting! Thank you for feeding me with your poetry.

    :) wishing you laughter
