The White Queen

I am the White Queen
cold to the heart
Never yours to own
sharp as the dart
Waiting for the one
who knows the truth I hold
Deep within is a fire
that always burns gold
You can not bind me
however you try
You can not tie me
to your petty lives
Because you have never found me
deep within your lies
You can never feel the day
when all you speak is night

Artist's Description

The White Queen is represented as cold, distant, detached. An example of a woman who is above or beyond ordinary attachments. But why is this character so?
Being able to detach emotionally allows room for clearer thinking, a wisdom that enables fairness and justice.
Maybe she is not so heartless as she seems.
