Sanguine

My portfolio has a wide range of subject matter, although I do have a tendency to focus on nature. I’m currently starting to branch out to portraiture. I would love to be able to do alt/goth/extreme/etc artistic photography, but where I live doesn’t lend opportunities to do so unless I shoot myself. In the time being I’m contented with the country girls and working on my skills with people photography.

I have been doing photography since I was bout 16. My dad had always had an interest in it, and during my childhood he use to develop his own film. I never took an interest in working with film, but I did take an interest in photography…even though it was digital. I don’t get offended by constructive criticism, so feel free to let me know what you think or what you feel I could do to improve on an image.

Over the years I have developed an interest in digital art as well and am constantly working on perfecting techniques. I will rarely upload pure digital art as I am overly critical of myself, and have not been able to break out of the “if I don’t like it, no one else is going to either” mindset with it.

By profession I am a body piercer & scarification artist (cuttings, skin removal, etching, which is tattoo machine scarification). I draw, watercolor, and sculpt a little. I make chain maille jewelry, love etching glass (not faux etching, but true dremel etching), enjoy just going out for hours with a camera in hand to see what catches my eye.
