The Terminus Pub
The Terminus pub in Hailsham, East Sussex is a remnant of a bygone era when Hailsham had a railway station, albeit feed by a single line track. The line was closed in the 1960’s and is now known as the Cuckoo Trail that gets regularly used by walkers and cyclists.
This recent painting on the side wall shows the station
along with train and the South Downs in the background. A popular pub with the locals.
The Terminus Pub belongs to the following groups:
All Things Pubs - 3 a day, Railway Art and Photography and Wall of the World Available for sale asGreeting Cards, Matted Prints, Laminated Prints, Mounted Prints, Canvas Prints, Framed Prints and Posters

Didn’t realise this was so good until I walked past the pub today.

Good find – shame the artist did not use a ‘Southern’ loco

Nice work Stewart, I agree it is a shame that the loco is ‘incomplete’

I used to ride old motorbikes from Polegate along to Heathfield on the old track before it became the Cuckoo Line. Many a broken bike lay in the hedgerows!

I think from memory there is a Terminus Pub in Eastbourne too? Well there used to be, near the station.
