Here is the latest portrait I painted of my daughter using the dry brushing technique, a method I am getting found of.
Dry brushing is a technique that allows you to make paintings that look like drawings in less time. I made a short time lapse video showing the painting process

I grew up in France but have been living in Canada for the last 12 years, I am currently located in North Vancouver and work from a studio on Pemberton Avenue.

I have two passions:
- Painting the effects of light with watercolor on paper through portraits and cityscapes
( http://www.watercolorpainting.ca/ and http://www.yupopaperpainting.com/ )
- Building complex textures and edges with acrylics and mixed media on canvas (http://www.mixed-media-paintings.com)

Fabulous! I’ve done this technique just a short time ago, but I have to improved it, my work didn’t came as good as yours, I need to practice more. Your artwork is really good and beautiful!!!!

  • Thanks Noel78 for you comment ;-), yes I had to practice too before I could get a better understanding of the technique. The challenge for me is to not make any big smudge you can’t erase !
