My last acrylic on canvas, it took me a long time to paint all these little windows…. I though I was never going to finish this painting :-)
The view is what you see driving out of Vancouver (British Columbia, Canada) and going towards the North Shore.

I grew up in France but have been living in Canada for the last 12 years, I am currently located in North Vancouver and work from a studio on Pemberton Avenue.

I have two passions:
- Painting the effects of light with watercolor on paper through portraits and cityscapes
( http://www.watercolorpainting.ca/ and http://www.yupopaperpainting.com/ )
- Building complex textures and edges with acrylics and mixed media on canvas (http://www.mixed-media-paintings.com)

Beautiful piece. Great sense of space and vastness in the sky framed by the epic scale of the buildings. I love how the urban environment appears to abruptly stop and nature takes over in the distance. Excellent work

  • Thanks Matt for your nice comment and interesting observation.
