I have never seen a more adorable bird. Fantastic capture… he has such an inquisitive look in his simple features. Brilliant photo.

This would have to be one of the most spectacular small bird images I have seen in a long time. The colours, comp and lighting are all exceptional and I would be extremely proud of any shot like this. Absolutely superb in every way.

I had one of them eating out of my hand while in the Kruger a few weeks ago, couldn’t believe it as they’re quite skittish. Managed to get my camera out of my bag with one hand and photograph it too. :-) I will add this one of yours to my favourites.

Sandra this is a simply stunning photograph. The colours of the bird are amazing and to capture her working on her nest is fantastic.

Thank you so much for that wonderful compliment. My sweetheart I must point out to you that this bird is a “HIM” Yes in the world of birds it is the man that builds the house ! The lady comes along later has a look and if she does not approve she will just rip the whole thing to shreads with her little beak ! (such a bitch) You must see how jittery the males get when the female comes and have a look, it is pathetic to watch the males, and very funny !
