Shake, Shake, Shake

Thanks, K!:)....I did a series with Mouse called shake, rattle and roll in which she was running, kicking and jumping. These guys aren’t as active as she is. I’m hoping, once they are comfortable and settled in here, that they’ll start running about more.

I haven’t been taking any photos of them lately. I left them at the trainers for a little polishing and then also hoping that I’d be able to go ride them on the trails with the apprentice trainer. Then I got sick and wasn’t able to go at all until I finally went and picked them up to bring them back home. They were not happy campers and are just now starting to settle back in here. They weren’t abused there but they were turned out with other horses and they were both bitten and kicked from the obvious battle scars and also, Rowdy (above) is hard to catch at times so they’d left his halter on 24-7 in the pasture. He has several bad cuts because of that and his left ear was cut from side to side. Finally, they are all healing but I just hope there aren’t scars on his pretty….very photogenic:)...face.

More luck than timing on this one. I missed a great shot a few minutes later because my camera failed to fire..guess that’s the right word:)? I think I’ve finally straightened out the camera issues but not before I missed getting shots of Chris’s new miniature horse, so cute:), up at TO. I think all of this darn rain (I think you’ve been getting it,too?) is making my brain soggy…I know it’s not helping my mood, lol

Thank you, Renee! I’m just enjoying getting to know these guys so much. Rowdy is finally warming up to me—Django was laying his head against me and vying for attention from the moment we met, lol There personalities are both so different yet both so neat…can you tell that I like them just a little bit? :)

Thank you, Adrianne! Love your gorgeous red hair! I thought I was losing my chief model for the summer when I left Mousie in MO to be bred. I didn’t think that either of these guys would photograph as well as my lovely gray Mouse but this guy, and his shiny as a copper penny color, has proved me wrong. I swear that just like his half sister, he seems to pose for me, too, lol…..Now Django, the ink black one, is another matter. He’s so dark that I have yet to manage a photo that does him justice or shows how pretty he really is…then again, I’m biased because he’s Mouse’s baby:)

You are so kind! Thank you so much. This is my boy, Rowdy, and he does love to shake his head:)—-and he looks so gorgeous doing it. I love horses and that is virtually all I photograph but it brings me such joy just being near them.

Guess he realizes that he’s the calm one and there is nothing rowdy about him, lol) loves to shake his head and since he’s not a runner like his sister, this is about all the action I get out of him so I’d better take advantage of it :D
