Captured at the Insectarium in Montreal, QC, Canada

A delicate insect in ballerina pink and green… I believe it is a Pink-Winged Phasma and I thank Trish Meyer for identifying it. Thanks Trish for your help!

What beautiful photographs I’ve seen in the past few days! I feel incredibly humble showing my own photos. I’m a beginner and opened to any comments or suggestions as I feel I have much to learn. I’ve always enjoyed taking photos but for the past 9 years, my camera has been mainly focused on my 5 lovely grandchildren. I’m so inspired by what I’ve seen on this site… I can only hope your amazing collective talent rubs off on me!

How wonderful to catch this lovely creature with it’s wings spread, great work !
It is a Stick Insect … from the colour of the wings possibly a Pink-winged Phasma

  • Thanks so much Trish. In my eagerness to capture this creature, I didn’t see the description. But I was looking at the Stick Insects for sure. I’ll check it out on the internet.
