About the piece: I usually dont talk about where i take my inspirations or ideas, i think at the end is not that relevant as the final result which is what matters at the end at least for me, but in this particular case i thought that it could be interesting. Some months ago i was driving very late at night i was getting back home from a party and i decided to take a short cut going trough the oldest part of the city, which is a very interesting place especially at night so i took a big avenue that leads to one of the biggest avenues in the city and turning in a corner i saw this very old truck crashed infront of a wall and i saw the ambulance guys just trying to pull out some persons out of the van and what i saw is like 4 mariachis coming of the van all covered in blood, wipping out the blood of their faces trying to stay on their feet and some others screaming for help i thought that maybe if i pass in that avenue maybe 15 mins earlier defintly i could became a witness of the crash in the very moment of happening, it was a very bizarre image, and when i say this i mean the context of the place where happend, specially like i said in that particular side of my city. Anyways just wanted to share it because sometimes i wish my eyes were a digital high resolution video camera to record that kind of events or images
cheers friends!

Fantastic piece with a great story. My first thoughts upon seeing this piece was that it was a weathered gunslinger and that the slashed ink signified his malice…. anyway, I really love it. Great portfolio, by the way.
Alvaro Sánchez replied
Tks DBS i like your first thoughts because you get the idea, if you pay attention in the woman on the bottom is more of that what you thought so im glad you like this piece and the short story and my portfolio…cheers from guatemala city

Very interesting strong works. Some visual relations to the group of
“Wiener Aktionisten” come into my mind. Is Hermann Nitsch known to you?
Or Arnulf Rainer? If not – have a look, might be inspiring
