Thinks it's a Day Like Any Other by

Another cat needing an adoptive home, in order not to become but a memory and a statistic. In Southern Ontario, most shelters have kill rates in the 70-90% range for cats. This one is about 6 months old and was turned in with his mother. Both are making the best out of living in cages, probably completely unaware how much trouble they may be in.

If only people would take more responsibility and act with more compassion……

  • For sure. Sorry about adding to Nude Pets – the outdoors part had slipped my mind. :(

Sigh.. I already have 4 rescued cats…this breaks my heart…..

  • Thanks Heather. Things are so bad for cats in shelters. Nice that you’ve given some a home. :)

I hate KILL shelters!!!…I’m sorry, but they should do that with people that are in jail for life!!! They are just a waste of space!!! Animals are innocent…they deserve to live!!! I hope he and his mommy have a home together!!!

  • I hear you Eastsider but it’s not the shelters’ faults! When they get in 3x as many animals as they can place, they have no choice. The blame lays with those who bring more animals into this world where we don’t have enough homes for the ones already here. One of the shelters we’ve dealt with gasses twice daily. That shows how many people don’t care about their pets. There are bad shelters, but most of the ones we deal with do all they can to work with rescue. We have to work on the irresponsible pet owners, that’s the root of the problem!
