Whitby In My Eyes by sammythor

Whilst waiting for a meal in one of Whitbys numerous renowned restaurants I stood outside and watched the boats come in. It was one of those amazing winter sunsets with mist and mood and atmosphere. It’s the only place in the world on those days.

I’m Sam Thor and a serious neck injury has been my companion for the last three years. Wishing to avert heady cabin fever last summer I seized upon my wistful interest in Photography which exploded upwards in my estimation, coming to be the medium that allows me to remember all the memories that my pain and prescriptions would have me forget.

Wow, wow and fricking wow!!! This is absolutely stunning mate. Truly stunning. I’ll have this one on my wall. What settings did you use? Love the seagulls too. Really adds something to it. Spectacular job.

    This is a wonderful capture…..

  • Thank you, it’s very kind of you to say so. I’ve not been within the murky world of Photography long and due to my neck I’m rarely able to get out to capture and create, but I’d like to think that that has made me a little more resourceful. I’m also built from the rocks and roots of this area, I love it. Thank you again.
