Devil Bot by samedog

Available to buy on…

Robot version of a Tassie icon, the Tasmanian Devil, finally perfected after years of research. This model is made of Kevlar so it doesn’t become roadkill, and instead of eating chooks he prefers rusty farm machinery.

Scientists are working hard to save the real version, so hopefully the two can co-exist for many years to come.

The Dog slaves away as a drawer of things so he can keep living his dream of working in a call centre.

Great work!!! You should do a series of animals!

  • Cheers Richter – really enjoyed doing this one so when I get a few days I’m going to get cracking on some more native animal robots.

    How awesome!!
I went to Tassie for a holiday and nearly ran over about 5 things, including a devil.
Don’t think the rented Laser would have withstood this beast though!

  • Thanks for the comment Firedrake!

The roadkill over here can be a bit disturbing to the uninitiated, however I have heard that the upside is that there’s so much of it because the wildlife is still so prolific here. Really hope that is the case.

oh, that’s great Rory, you are so clever, so funny!!
I love the way you think and art!

  • Thanks Karin – Devil Bot is a fav for me because he came out of one of those sessions where you go from idea to finished product in a few hours that seem more like a few minutes.

this is really cool!!! These two bots should try and get into the souvenir shops of Tassie!!

  • Thanks GG! Am already thinking along those lines – hopefully one day we’ll see the bots lined up next to the cute and cuddly devils already in the shops.
