would you believe, that I have never actually seen an apple hanging on a tree EVER in my whole life…only cartoons and drawings, I am fascinated….how does something so red and juicy and fleshy grow on the end of that lifeless looking grey branch…wonderful!

In another life Karin, I spent a day near Manjimup in the south of WA, tasting apples at an Ag Dept research station – absolute bliss, and the crispest, tastiest apples I have ever tasted in my life. I think of that day every time I bite into a cold-stored and transported chalky apple.
I was drawn to this particular row and tree because every other row was crowded with apples but this one was just dotted with lonely (and lovely) red apples every now and again.
