On the Bridge
The original painting is 20” x 20” and is based on a photograph I took of my Girlfriend while on a holiday in Devon. We were playing Pooh sticks ( Read A A Milne)

It’s from Winnie the Pooh by A A Milne. You both throw a stick on one side of the bridge and the winner is the first persons stick to come out the other side. It’s called Pooh sticks.

Pooh Sticks is a game from a book about Winnie-the-Pooh by A. A. Milne. In the story Pooh is a bear owned by Christopher Robin, and they go on many adventures. In one they play this game of racing sticks under a bridge. The game is therefore called pooh sticks.
