ab-scrap...Samz Faux Finishing cabinet by

I thought I would get some color in here. I have been on a roll with my B&W ball point pen pieces and my profile is getting a bit colorless. This is an ongoing piece in progress. Every time I change colors out mid sign production I apply the excess in the brush here and on my other “ab-scrap” works. Check out my journal entry ab-scraps It better explains the process. Attached below is a wider shot of the cabinet and it’s surroundings and some other ab-scrap examples.

I am a many faceted artist who works in many styles and mediums, and in all dimensions. Despite my artistic variances, there is a common thread that stitches all of my work together. It is my critique on man’s apparent love for life and his constant destruction of it.

i want to do this!! you have inspired me dude!

  • Excellent, I have wanted to do a whole show of works that are spun off of one finished central piece. How many pieces can be made from the excesses of one piece?

wow, I love these, the corked forest is absolutely wonderful

  • Thank you Marie,

I am pleased with this series. The Corked Forest is a good example how separate pieces find their way to merging together.

like the idea…i get wallowed down in the black and white sometime and yearn for a bit of colour…that’s when my costumes come into play….but colour for colour-sake is a wonderful experience…kia ora Maihi
