The Giant’s Causeway (Irish: Clochán an Aifir or Clochán na bhFómharach) is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns, the result of an ancient volcanic eruption. Or the result of an ancient Giant trying to make his way from Ireland to Scotland. Whichever you like to believe :)

Taken with a Canon 5D and edited in Photomatix and Adobe Elements.

The sky adds to the magnificent stone feature. Great shot!

  • Thanks! Most people were upset they didn’t get a sunny sky to take some photos that day, I was actually quite glad it was overcast :)
