The photograph by Queen Enigma so captures waiting beautifully, your art interpretation of this is touchingly thoughtful..well done to both of you, a lovely collaboration.

  • Thank you Sandra

Absolutely fabulous, Samantha. Love the hair, and gray on blue. The chair caresses her with a pair of hugging “arms”, and then fades to merely an apparition. It looks as if she is could be pulling petals off, with “he loves me, he loves me not” (or maybe has waited so long, her flower has given up the ghost). The drama is commanding. Congratulations to you and QueenEnigma for securing your spots in Augusts’ SoJie 12.

  • Thank you so much Frannie, your comments are greatly appreciated as always.

This is such a wonderful piece! It is true to the source photograph but has the unmistakable ‘Samantha touch’. The red flowers are great both in respect to the narrative and compositionally, leading the eye to her heart.

  • Thank you for your lovely comments
