Ancient Tropical Rainforest canopy
This is a photograph of part of Australia’s World Heritage listed Tropical Rainforest canopy, Kuranda, Carins, Far North Queensland.
Some of the trees found here are more than 3,000 years old. The tallest trees in the forest reach up to 60 metres.
Stretching for over 500 kilometres along Tropical North Queensland’s coastline, these rainforests are the oldest continually surviving rainforests on earth and once covered the entire Australian continent.

So how wonderful…yeah, let’s all save them!!! But i want to know how tall is your tripod:) lol!!! No seriously, good work and good reminder of the precarious and precious nature of our land:)
Samantha Goode replied
lol no tripod, just a cable car that went over the forest, with my arm out of a gap in the window (it’s the world’s longest cable car ride – 7.5kms) glad you like it.

Wonderful shot of these oldies Samantha – if you would like to add this to Endangered Plants, I think it would make a great addition and awareness of what we have lost
Samantha Goode replied
