If ever there was heaven on earth this was it. For the last six years I have making the annual trek to Croajingolong National Park and each year I had been promising to make the trek to this beach only to be told that the track along it was rife with snakes and unwalkable. This year I was determined. I found it. It was my Utopia. I know why they had been keeping this from me now. I walked in and nearly cried at its beauty. This image doesnt do this precious gem justice. The clouds you see in the distance were that of a raging electrical storm that was soon to envelop the coast and to hit right above our camp ground. I should have stayed here in this safe haven and watched it past through. It was magic. I will make the trek again next year to spend more time here.

Hey Sals, good to see you posting, glad you have found your little piece of utopia. If I was you I would continue the story by telling everyone that track was littered with snakes and there was nothing to see at the end of it apart from thick prickly scrub and loads of smelly rubbish. Protect your utopia.

  • Thankyou Garth! I almost did do that you know. I did carry a metre long poly pipe with me on the journey and smashed the bushes, scrub and grass along the way while stamping my feet lol. The area is full of snakes, red bellied blacks, tigers, and possibly browns and coastal taipans. Also the madatory ticks and march flies that give you grief along the way. Its not a trek to everyones liking trust me and well it was worth it! Thankyou so much for stopping by :)) I hope you are well!!

Well worth the trek wahini…..many times mother nature tests our courage to share her wonders……this beach speaks to me

  • Thankyou Kj! It was worth the trek absolutely! I am glad this place speaks to you. Photographs dont do it justice. I hope to spend some time here next trip. No one else on the beach in my own little bit of paradise. I know you would like it. I got to see a seal in front in the deeper water chasing bait fish to his delight.
