Sheesh I wanted to see his feet…hahaha A really well composed shot due to the different angle. It would look great as it is normally seen but because you invoked and saw differently it captures a lot more interest.

Great shot – I know how hard it is to shoot this with all the tourists around and it being so large. I have a shot of it somewhere from the feet to the head to try and get it’s size in but it doesn’t do it justice. Love the colours you have captured here. Did you know it isn’t an actual Buddha it was built for tourists ;o)

I have found that picture – it’s on my web page www.hardhhhat.com under snaps->Thailand 2005 and it’s near the bottom and I have a shot almost Identical to yours and the laying down version :o) there are also lots of other Thai pictures in that collection…

Such a magical place. I found it really difficult to capture the sheer size of the reclining buddha. You image does it much better justice than the one I have in my shoebox :)

I think I may have commented on this image before, but I’m always struck by it. This fantastic reclining Buddha is right there, available for all of us (myself included) to shoot, yet personally I’ve never been able to get a shot as brilliant as this. Fantastic work!
