So very well spotted and so very well photographed, this spiraling staircase certainly is hypnotic.
Great exposure in that wonderful light, a depth of field to die for and a very sharp focus.
Composition is a little tight on our left and right but there was probably nothing you could do about that.
Lovely tones and contrast are most appealing.

Yesterday I uploaded Cook. As it was uploading I was listening to the radio and discovered yesterday was the anniversary of Cooks first sighting of Point Hicks. I then googled Point Hicks and found your light house. I knew I loved the picture the first time I saw it. As a Cook fan, I can’t wait to get down there oneday soon.

Sal, I searched in vain for my comment on this… thought for sure I`d made one.
Anyway, I`m rectifying that oversight now. I`ve always had a thing about spirals and I`ve always felt they make for engaging compositon in an image. But this really is an amazing example. It looked at first as though you were looking downwards, but I started wondering how you got to the center position… then realized you were looking up!

There`s actually two things about this that float my boat. First of all, there`s a basic symmetry that anchors the composition, but there are enough imperfections and breaks in the symmetry to make it unique and interesting. Secondly, I think the color space in this is gorgeous. Very simple mix of two tones, blending so beautifully together… and all this combine to make me feel like looking at this for way longer than is good for me. This is massive take and it`s cool it`s got so many comments. Nice work!
