This could be Catalina Island, Santa Barbara, Laguna Beach, Monterey or Pacifica, but it’s only a product of my mind. It is an imaginary village on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. This painting is a mixed media watercolor with pen and ink painted on arches 300 lb. cold press paper. The original is in a private collection. Prints or a tee shirt are available on redbubble.com
beach, pacific ocean, scenery, tile roofs, village, sea shore, fantasy city
When viewing a group of musicians or listening to music the musicians blend into their instruments for me and they sing as one.
In all of my work I have a fondness for bold color, clear values and wild texture.
My imagination works overtime. I hope you enjoy viewing my work.

Wow, what a fantastic painting! It has been featured in PiMT and would be an excellent entry in the upcoming challenge
Thank you for the suggestion. I was thinking of entering another one, but this one would work too.

Beautiful work. Is this a watercolor?
It is a mixed media watercolor with black india ink added to crisp it up a little. I’m glad you like it.

feel of my old hunting grounds- la guna beach-where me and my late wife gallery watched and had good evening meals after a all day art feast
This painting is all imagination, but I used to body surf at crescent cove in L.B.

What a venue! And what a picture!!
Thank you, Steve. I made up this painting, but it is a combination of many places I’ve been like Laguna Beach, The mexican riviera, Catalina island.
Whenever I daydream this is the place I go. Sally

And the detail is Phenomenal!!
Thanks for noticing. I love to draw more than anything so when I pick up a watercolor brush I just draw with it. The ink just defines it a little more. Thanks again for visiting my paintings.
