105 Exposures ….. yes I am mad, but I love this valley and wanted to do it justice.

But unfortunately panoramas don’t view well in RB.

How was it done a whole lot of patience and storage space lol

Technique: HDR Panoramic, 105 Exposures shot in 25 Portrait Orientation brackets of 5 exposures each = 105 Total.

The first bracket was tonemapped in Photomatix 3.26. when i was satisfied with the image it was saved as a 35 mb tiff file, the tonemapping process was then repeated 20 times for each segment to create 25 tiff files of 35 megabytes each. The next step was to perform a Panoramic photomerge in Photoshop needless to say this process took some time the process then created a panoramic file measuring 1 gigabyte.

The panoramic file was cropped contrast and sharpening in Capture NX. File was saved in tiff and jpeg format dimensions 19652 × 3807

One of my favourite places in the Blue Mountains area *The Capertee Valley" a wonderful diversion off the hwy. THe scenery is awesome from a photographers point of view photo opportinities in every direction

Surrounded by the wonders of World Heritage listed wilderness, the Capertee valley is the world’s second largest canyon. Capertee is 1 kilometre longer than the Grand Canyon, but not quite as deep.
