Artist's Description

BEST VIEWED LARGER

One of my favourite places in the Blue Mountains area *The Capertee Valley" a wonderful diversion off the hwy. THe scenery is awesome from a photographers point of view photo opportinities in every direction

Surrounded by the wonders of World Heritage listed wilderness, the Capertee valley is the world’s second largest canyon. Capertee is 1 kilometre longer than the Grand Canyon, but not quite as deep.

Technique: HDR Panoramic, comprising of 40 exposures shot in brackets of 5 exposures. Each bracket tonemapped in Photomatix to form 8 tiff files, These 8 tiff files then merged in photoshop to form a 300 mb tiff file. This file cropped, contrast adjusted and a slight sharpen saved the converted to a jpeg
