Narrabeen Lakes about 30kilometres North of Sydney CBD is one of my magic spots. Very little motorised boats stir the mirror surface so it lends itself well to reflections.
On this morning mist was rising from the waters just after dawn giving it a mystical feel.
Technique this is 50 exposures bracketted in groups of 5 exposures, 10 segments. The first segment was tonemapped in Photomatix to form one 35mb tiff file. This process was then repeated another 9 times to create 10 × 36mb tiff files. The 10 tiff files were then imported and merged in Photoshop to form 1 × 350mb tiff file, which was then saved and cropped ,sharpenned slightly.
