Victorian Majesty #3 , Melbourne -Royal Exhibition Building & Carlton Gardens - The HDR Experience by

BEST VIEWED LARGER

This shot taken on a recent trip to Melbourne, the weather wasnt the best but you make do with what you get. So an early morning trip to Carlton Gardens to photograph the wonderful Royal Exhibition Building , love to get inside but maybe next time as no tours until July

My eye caught this view with the World Heritage listed building reflected in the recently fallen rain.

North of the city centre, the majestic Royal Exhibition Building is surrounded by Carlton Gardens.

The building is one of the world’s oldest remaining exhibition pavilions and was originally built for the Great Exhibition of 1880. Later it housed the first Commonwealth Parliament from 1901, and was the first building in Australia to achieve a World Heritage listing in 2004.

Equipment: Nikon D300. Sigma 10-20mm lens Handheld

Technique: HDR 5 Bracketted Images Photomatix 3.26, Capture NX
