Artist's Description

BEST VIEWED LARGER
The first rays of day kiss the east coast of Australia, more precisely Warriewood Beach, just one of the many beautiful northern beaches within a short drive of the Sydney CBD.

It’s my neighbourhood, yes i know it’s hard but someone has to live here, a great way to greet the day, or to watch the last embers of day.

Technique: HDR 25 bracketted exposures in groups of 5 exposures, each group tonemapped in photomatix to form 5x 8 bit tiff images measuring 120 mb each . These tiff images then merged in photoshop elements to create a 1.2 gb panoramic tiff file.

The image cropped and then contrast adjusted and sharpenned , tiff file converted to jpeg for uploading to RB

Equipment: Nikon D300, Nikon 18-200mm, Handheld
