Bushfire Abstract - Mount Wilson and Mount Irvine NSW Australia - The HDR Experience by 


Mount Wilson and Irvine were just two of the many areas threatened by fires in Spring 2013. This shot was taken 3 weeks after the devastating fires and its amaxing how the bush is regenerating you can see red sprouts on the blacked tree trunks. Congrats for the wonderful work of the Rural Fire Service and emergency workers they are REAL HEROES.

Technique HDR 5 Bracketted Exposures , tonemapped in Photomatix 5.0, processed using Photoshop CC and using Viveza 2.0 and Colour Effex

Equipment: Nikon D300, Nikon 18=200mm

Philip Johnson is a Photographer located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Specialising in HDR photography his works have been shown in galleries,published in Tourism campaigns. His work will also be available as Jig Saws through Crown & Andrews

    Looks amazing Philip! The bush here near me has regenerated so fast, it was just over two months since we nearly got wiped out and it’s so green. The Australian bush is amazing!
