As far as the eye can see, this is the Jamison Valley a “small” part of the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area around 2.5 hours west of Sydney.

Technique: HDR 25 Bracketted exposures, shot in five segments of 5 exposures. The first segment of 5 exposures was tonemapped in Photomatix,then the tonemapping repeated another 4 times for the remaining 4 segments to create 5 Tiff files. The 5 tiff files were then merged Photoshop Elements to create one 1.5 gb tiff file this file was then adjusted and sized using Photoshop Element, Nik Colour Effex Pro and Viveza 2.0. The final file was then saved as a tiff and a jpeg.

    On a clear day you can see forever! I love the sound from that lookout – almost always the ‘rushing’ of the breeze in trees down below. Wonderful result Philip.
