It was one of those mornings when you get up to catch a mist in the valley and there was actually mist. This shot caught my eye when coming around a bend in the road, drove past and it was one of those times when you put the car in a U Turn and head back.

Add this very friendly beautiful white horse at the fence and throw in mist in the valley behind, i love the early morning light hitting the horses tail

Equipment : Nikon D300 Nikon 18-200mm lens
Technique HDR 5 Bracketted exposures, tonemapped in photomatix. Adjusted in in Photoshop Elements 9.0 and Colour effex

Great take, hope you got closer to the hills in the background

  • Many thanks Hans, the area around st albans is floodplain, lots o mangroves between tha5 mist and the elevated area behind. But its a great area to wander lots of history around the Hawkesbury, the pub we had lunch at was convict built dating back to 1836. great place to visit
