Run for the D300 and the tripod – DEFINITELY
Caught a range of shots on this Friday morning reached my vantage point about 5.30am. I saw these reflections and ran for the camera.
Sydney Harbour like a mill pond before the many vessels start their morning trips and disturbing it’s surface. The other factor is that look to the water surface that landscape photographers might know it’s like a oily look to the water that lends itself to wonderful reflective surface.
It took many shots of Sydney Harbour this morning, if, and you should have seen the sunrise that followed . WAIT ! yes i have photos of that as well.
Equipment: Manfrotto Tripod, Nikon D300 Nikon 18-200mm Lens

Nice work, Philip. I especially like the way the lines in the water reflect the lines of the bridge
Philip Johnson replied 23 days ago
thanks Mike it was a magic morning as this was before dawn and because of very little harbour traffic disturbing the surface the reflections were magic. The sunrise that followed was magnificent.
I decided to publish the monochrome version of this first and will follow with the coour version so stay tuned

The Black and White has a cause through the HDR which gives an Extremely Futuristic View of the City, not that the city is futuristic but that there is an amazing Industrial Sci Fi Feel to it. This is amazing
Philip Johnson replied 22 days ago
