Silence Before The Storm#2 - Photographers Cut - Moods of A City , Sydney - The HDR Experience

BEST VIEWED LARGER

This shot was taken from Berrys Bay/ Balls Head Park on the north shore of Sydney taken on Wednesday 28th May 2008 around 5pm.

As you can see the clouds herald what is to come, the buildings are lit by pre storm light combined with the last rays of day light.

The storm that followed was quite severe with 868 recorded lightning strikes, just have to love the clouds and light.

Equipment used Nikon D300 and Nikon 18 – 200mm lens
HDR , 3 Exposures , Photomatix 3, Capure NX

Excellent, Phillip. Is the orange a filter, enhanced in post production, or is it natural?

  • Philip Johnson replied

its a combination of a storm and sunset at the same time , mother natures actual filter
