Sisters With A View - Blue Mountains World Heritage
THIS IS A BIG IMAGE VIEW LARGER FOR BEST RESULTS
This shot was taken from Echo Point in the Blue Mountains World Heritage Area at sunset, it was created from 5 bracketed images using a Nikon D300 fitted with a Nikon 18-200mm. No filters were used.
The rock formations to the left are known as “The Three Sisters” the image was taken at sunrise looking past the Sisters certainly have a great view.
The Blue Mountains are located 2 hours west of Sydney by road, also by train for visitors to Sydney, there are also organised day trips via motor coach that will take you to the area for the day…. though if you have the time spend a few days in the area.
You can see all the attractions, have a devonshire tea in one of the many teahouses, or sit on the edge of the valley that seems to go on forever, and listen to the birdlife. Bushwalking is a must !

This is truly wonderful Philip. What a great looking place, and the HDR is perfect. Does your camera autobracket 5 shots or do you alter it manually between shots?
Philip Johnson replied
i tend to very jamie between manually altering or auto bracketting. The Nikon D300 will allow up to 9 shot autobracketting and you can program your favourites into the camera

You know Phil – this is magic!! Its probably the best I’ve seen of our beloved Three Sisters. The 3D effect in this image and the colours are superb. Its magic mate!

thanks Bev it involved me getting closer to the edge of the lookout than i am normally comfortable with and winding the tripod up high. I was aiming to capyure that angle
