This shot was taken of a dam on a property , i was driving by and the reflections in the late afternoon caught my attention.
Equipment : Nikon D300, Sigma Lens

outstanding piece of work – Phillip question mate please – I have a D300 also – do you use a wireless remote – or a standard remote – either way mate which one do you use – I use a photix cleon but can be pretty useless at times

yes Catherine HDR is a process that adds more detail to a image because it is created from 5 shots layered on top. I can say there is very little manipulation other than a slight sharpening

Thanks Ralph , this shot was taken on the outskirts of Marysville, the town has been raised I would be surprised if these trees are still there.

the people of Marysville are trying to collect as many “pre-fires” photos as possible of the town , if you have any others, I’m sure they would be appreciated. I don’t have direct contact with who to send them to, but it probably wouldn’t be to hard to track the right person down if you felt you had something to contribute.
