BETTER VIEWED LARGER
Is’nt it great when conditions click, sunrise, light and fog and cloud, this shot shows Lavender Bay from North Sydney. The shot taken from the 10th floor looking down. You can clearly see the expanse of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Luna Park Amusement Park at the northern base of the bridge, and the Sydney CBD
Equipment: Nikon D300 Lens = Nikon 18-200mm Software: Photomatix HDR
The shot is the result of four bracketed images and my continuing exploration of High Dynamic Range Photography

Beautiful Philip. It’s a refreshing change from many Sydney skylines that are so often sun and blue sky…and a view of the city you don’t often see. You have caught the unusual light brilliantly.

I love this shot…so spectacular!!
But one of the almost magical aspects of this composition is the foreground yachts, which are in such crisp focus and seem to be perched, or suspended there ~ almost sitting frozen on glass ~ the harbour waters so still and the feel of the piece, quite ethereal…
Well done!!

HDR.
Enough…subtle dinamization of the releif that the next objects create.
The atmosphere is magic. And it really is watercolouring. We are… inside….swaying from the concrete to the abstract, to the clearly outlined to th blurred. A city is much more than buildings…services. It is the map of the human mind. And here…Nature it its wild sense is traying to compete with it. In the end you find.. that the city..is floating in the elements…and your soul i your lenses.
I love the result.
