Artist's Description

Himba women spend several hours everyday to make up with ochre powder mixed with grease. Hairdress is very important and is strictly codified. North Namibia, close to Angola. Himbas have been threatened for more than a decade by a big dam project in the Epupa Falls area on the Kunene river.
