    Love love this, childlike quality of the buildings against the realism and determination of the runner fantastic layout

  • thanks a lot, Tim! I am glad you liked that contrast between the light cartoon-ish background & the realism. As you pointed out, I wanted the runner to look like she means business. I am also trying to keep that duality going throughout this sketchbook…:))

  • Hi Lisa, thank you for your gorgeous words! I look forward to seeing your sketchbook (especially at ngv this time next year!)! It’s pretty little, isn’t it? Btw I cheated and when I replaced the paper, I put less sheets in…all up I should get 13 drawings! I couldn’t keep this up otherwise… :)
