I am a cerebral-vascular stroke survivor. I have been left with a speech impairment as well as somewhat of a left side weakness, which only allows for right-handed typing. This certainly preferable to the alternatives (death or paralysis) and I am thankful for that. I enjoy writing even more today because it allows me to communicate without the encumbrances presented by verbalization.
