There’s good reason for a group of zebra (Equus quagga) being described as a ‘dazzle’. Apparently predators such as the lion can only see in black and white and presented with the dazzle of overlapping white and black zebra stripes, it’s little wonder that lions are unsuccesful in the majority of their attempts to bring them down.
