For me, the journey is just as much of the fun as actually getting there. On each of my trips back to Africa, I particularly love the final approach into Johannesburg. I was especially delighted with the early evening light playing against the typical late afternoon thunderstorm that was sweeping through the highveld and across the city.

Although Canadian by birth, I grew up in Africa and from an early age travel became a regular part of my life. As a result I developed an early passion for my two great loves, Africa and aviation. Returning to Africa every year, all of my photos of wildlife are taken in their natural and unstaged settings.
