From their vantage point on the cliffs above the confluence of the Sashe and Limpopo rivers, tourists contemplate the natural beauty of South Africa’s northern border. In the immediate foreground lies South Africa while on the left, Botswana’s eastern most point is framed by the Sashe river on the south bank and the mighty Limpopo river on the north. Here the two great rivers converge at ‘the confluence’, with Zimbabwe completing the picture across the more distant Limpopo river.

Although Canadian by birth, I grew up in Africa and from an early age travel became a regular part of my life. As a result I developed an early passion for my two great loves, Africa and aviation. Being fortunate to return to Africa every year with our own safari company “Explorations Africa”, all of my photos of wildlife are taken in their natural and unstaged settings.
