Parting Gifts

Although the background (or “holder”) of this is canvas, the surface is entirely covered in papers and fabrics. Most of this is craft papers, tissue paper, denim, silk, etc.

On top of the collage I painted with acrylic in washes. The branch is sewn on.

The 3 leaves are drawings on Reeves BFK (Best all round paper EVER! I use it for everything.) in oil pastel. Their backgrounds are watercolor and acrylic and each is stitched onto the canvas.

As for the meaning, the title sums that up. :)
