Yea, hear ye, hear ye, verily good folk of redbubble!

The Sabre-Toothed-Fairy would like it to be known throughout cyberspace that she has just been offered a Job teaching English in Japan, for a period of no less than one year!

OK, back to reality a minute – yes, I’ve just come out of a gruelling two-day, several-tier selection process (you know, one of those reality TV type things where they test you all on various things and get rid of a few more hopefulls at each stage). The good news is that I passed, and have now been offered a place in some indeterminate Japanese location, teaching the nuances of the english language to the locals!

I am totally stoked, although I am rather worrying about I’m going to keep designing up. My desktop is pretty heavy, as is my scanner, so I’ll probably have to leave them behind, at least for the first few weeks.

But hey, who gives a shit when you know you’re heading off to japan in a little over three months, eh?! I can always take a sketchbook to jot down all the things that inspire me. You never know, maybe i’ll finally start doing my 4 megapixel camera some justice?

Plus I hear the school organises occasional trips to Cairns for their teachers (a kind of bonding/training thing), so if there are any bubblers out there, maybe we can find a chance to meet up?

Off now to brush up on my Japanese (and probably my english too!).
