Why 'Sundae evening'?

Posted about 1 month ago

I’m really stoked because I’ve recently made a fair few sales of T-shirts, but this has also given me pause for thought.

The reason for this is that the last four or five designs sold have been the long panel design dubbed ‘sundae evening’. This intrigues me, as I love the design (of course I do – I made it! But I don’t necessarily expect the whole world to share my views…in much the same …

I've finally rejoined the rat race!!!!!

AT LAST!!! IT’S HAPPENED!!!!

I’ve finally, after pretty much a year of dole-scrounging and part-time retail shite, been offered a juniour position in a creative consultancy! (phew!)

I was starting to fear it would never happen again – that I’d had my ‘break’ and blown it already; but there’s life in the ol’ portfolio yet!

As of next tuesday, i shall be getting paid to go to work and d…

Creative outlets

I’ve been unemployed since my retirn from Japan and am suffering from a slight case of post-travel blues, compounded by the fact that I have no income, savings, job prospects and my auntie and uncle are kindly letting me crash in their attic (fortunately not the dark kind with spiders, but the nice kind with windows and broadband).

However, until I land a job/publishing deal for either my bo…

Home again...

I’ve been back from Japan for about six weeks now and I still can’t stop thinking about it…

I miss the people I met over the four weeks I was there; I wish I’d been able to keep in touch if only for the sake of finding out what they’re all doing now.

I miss the food, I miss the colourful packaging, I miss the forests of vending machines dispensing beer and hot cans of coffee, I miss hea…

Two tees in two days - WEHAY!

Posted 9 months ago

After a week or two of positively nil creative input into anything whatsoever, I’ve come back to the bubble to find that two lovely people have bought my buddhist monk tee in as many days!

I’d like to extend a personal thank you too you guys for supporting the everyday people of Burma – my hope with this design was that anyone who wears it will do so proudly; to show both their sympathy to t…

Great News!!!!!!

Yea, hear ye, hear ye, verily good folk of redbubble!

The Sabre-Toothed-Fairy would like it to be known throughout cyberspace that she has just been offered a Job teaching English in Japan, for a period of no less than one year!

OK, back to reality a minute – yes, I’ve just come out of a gruelling two-day, several-tier selection process (you know, one of those reality TV type things where…

I sold a f*****g monk!

Posted 9 months ago

Big thanks to whoever bought a t-shirt of ‘they’re fucking monks you fucking bastards!’.

Of all my designs, this is the one i’ve wanted to sell most. It’s great to know that someone out there is going to be wearing this – not just showing my art, but showing that I and they and a load of other people really, really don’t like what’s happening over there.

Gifts for friends...should they be marked up?

Posted 10 months ago

I’ve just made a tee design for my friends: a band called le monnier. I figured these’d be nice little promo pieces to help promote the band. I also made some badges on zazzle.com/sabretoothfairy if anyone’s interested, but that’s beside the point right now.

My dilemma is that I’ve marked these products down to 0.00%, just because I feel like it’s pretty mean to make 10% profit on presents f…

Time for a spring clean...well...autumn clean.

I’ve decided to be a bit more proffessional with my RB gallery – I’ve got e pretty eclectic collection of work that I just loaded up initially to bulk it out, and all my works were at different prices!

So, I’ve now deleted all those works that I don’t think really represent me and I’ve reduced all the rest to 10%. That seems a fair markup for an artist of my calibre and it looks better to po…
