Ideas of ecological interconnectivity are currently very popular in looking at innovation, manufacturing, and other aspects of human activity not previously associated with words like ecological. As a way of looking at human structures and interactions, ecological ideas are quite versatile and powerful. Seasonal Ecology is one of a series of paintings examining interconnectivity and coordination in natural ecologies and comparing them to the pattern generation and recognition in human-created and hybrid “ecologies”.

Seasonal ecology looks at natures coordinated response to seasonal change in a temperate climate. it’s my way of acknowledging the Autumn in New England, by trying to capture the patterns, textures and connectivity of the eason. I admit to being a nerdly leaf peeper, so sue me.
