Semi-abstract painting of an escarpment, using different sized palette knives to apply color to the canvas. The rough knife work allows the surface of the canvas to simulate rock.

This is beautiful rv : )
The way you step down from level to level in a wash of crazy colour is fantastic. Reminds me of coral.
extremely beautiful and dreamy. Adore the colours. Just Brilliant.
The colors here are gorgeous—really great technique!
a shimmering, shining jewel of a painting
Thank you all for your comments.
I’ve liked this painting since I painted it, but I’ve always been a bit angry with it. I think somewhere in the process of thwacking the canvas with a paint loaded palette knife the stretchers shifted. So for some time this was “that annoying parallelogram” painting. It restretched OK though, and is now a nice acceptable rectangle.
It’s like a dream. I love it.
