Unity In The Body

Ruth Palmer

Unity In The Body

Acrylic on canvas.

Inspired by Ephesians 4 – Unity In The Body Of Christ

Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

how beautiful Ruth. I remember a song when I look at this… But I do not remember who sang it…

    some of the lyrics go.

“If we are the Body—- why are His hands bleeding?”

  • Ruth Palmer replied 16 days ago

Thank you Beth and yes, I know the song very well. Casting Crowns is one of my favourite Christian groups! See Toby Mac is at #1 with City On Our Knees

This reminds me of the many many times, looking out the same window, first as a child and then as time moves on until the house ends up empty and everyone has moved on… So many lessons to be learned, so many places to go – yet there’s the safety of the window… Stunning work Ruth – absolutely stunning! Instant fave!

  • Ruth Palmer replied 13 days ago

Maxy….I’m so glad that it stirred emotions in you and I’m very thankful that you like it so much. Appreciate the fave! Hugs!
