It’s an interesting result, isn’t it? Very suggestive of a sailing vessel with the vertical and diagonal lines … to me at least. There could even be a flag up the mast too me thinks. Very nice, Ruth.

  • Ruth Palmer replied

Hey there Bernd! Thank you very much. Not at all what I had in mind but great to hear your interpretation of it. I’d say that this one is very emotional, born out of frustration I think. I wasn’t sure where I was going with it but I knew that there was something that I liked about it so I continued on. Ah…..the trials and tribulations of being an artist. LOL!

Ooh, love this one! It has an architectural feel to me. Great work, and love the method you used for this, very creative.

  • Ruth Palmer replied

Hi Alexandra. Thank you so much. You are right, it does kind of have that feel to it. Glad you like it and I appreciate your comment.

Stunning artwork, Ruthie !!! I agree with Bernd re: the lines and the appearance of historic sailing vessels, thus the title fits superbly, especially with the deep reds/browns representing rocks around the coastline !!

  • Ruth Palmer replied

Hi Phil! Thank you so much for your kind comment. Blessings to you and your family!

I think this is a great piece. I am liking how everyone who comments is having a different view of it. This piece makes me think of a subway map for NYC, and
that brings up all the angst of big city living.
